Frank Delano Madison, one of the founding partners of Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro, built this "place" in the country for his family in 1907, the year after the big "quake". It is built on the former site ofthe Bates School and at one time encompassed 10 acres. Presently, the 6,900 sq. ft.* Tudor Mansion sits on approximately 1.4 level acres* and encompasses  a pool, cabana, changing rooms, sports court, sprawling level lawns and beautiful English gardens.
